All Day

This is an introduction keynote to the Next Generation Managers panel.

During this keynote, Keith Harris will share his thoughts about the evolution of the music industry and the role of the manager from the early 70’s to today. He will describe the new profile of the manager as the multi-tasking career supervisor and essential partner a band or artist needs to build up a career.

NEXT GENERATION MANAGERS
The changes in the music industry, the direct-to-fan model and the new and emerging technologies are pushing managers and self-managed artists to extend the scope of their activities. Some of them are running their own label and are actively using the possibilities offered by new technologies and alternative revenue models, others are setting up companies for their artists and are exploring new and creative business ideas. But one thing remains unchanged: the manager still is a central person and partner for a band or artist willing to build up an international career. During this panel you will discover today’s artist management world and the multiple challenges linked to it.

Host : Keith Harris (Director of Performer Affairs)
Speakers: Jake Beaumont-Nesbitt (Executive director at IMMF), Henning Dietz (Founder and director of Neu Management LTD), Michael Lambert (Artist Manager & Owner A Modern Way) & more speakers to be announced.
