Created in 2003, Wordpress (http://www.wordpress-fr.net/) is a free content management software enabling web sites and blogs to be created. Starting with the installation and configuration of the software, the workshop will explore the various stages in the creation of a complete web page in Wordpress. Layout possibilities and personalisation tools (plug-ins, layouts and so on) will be studied in detail.
The workshop will be chaired by Moritz Mo Sauer, journalist, web designer, lecturer and writer (« Websites für Musiker, DJs und Netlabels» & « Weblogs, Podcasting und Online-Journalismus »).

The internet offers musicians a simple and cheap showcase for their self-marketing. With the aid of blogs, communities and a personal site, it is now possible to present yourself to the entire world. How best to use the web as a tool for the promotion of your band or musical project?
What strategies will enable me to increase my visibility in blogs and communities? What is viral marketing and why are search tools so important? The workshop led by Moritz (“Mo”) Sauer and Dietrich Pflüger will consider the techniques and strategies which enable musicians to market and to promote their music on the internet (blogs, RSS, podcasting, widgets, video clips and communities).
Numerous guerrilla techniques will be explained in depth.

Analysing the causes, Borey Sok proposes in his book “Musique 2.0” (Editions IRMA - 2007), paths to be taken by all disc producers, and also musicians, in order to take on the best marketing tool applied to new technologies. The conference will provide an overview of the principal ideas extolled in the book as well as an update of observations in relation to the latest evolutions in the music industry.
The conference will be followed by individual interviews enabling musicians, bands, labels or other people involved in music to receive personalised advice.
