Aly Gillani is European Label representative for Bandcamp, a global music community, where fans can discover new artists, connect with them intimately and compensate them directly for their work. Aly’s role is to develop labels’ presence on the site and help them maximise their connect with their fans.

He is also the founder and A&R of First Word Records, home to Children of Zeus, Tall Black Guy, Eric Lau, Kaidi Tatham, Darkhouse Family and many more. His professional experience in music began as promoter of nightclubs, being responsible for clubs like Funky Mule and New Bohemia in his adopted city of Leeds. He is also an acclaimed DJ, resident in various UK venues, as well as at festivals throughout Europe and on London radio stations such including Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide FM.
