Béatrice Thiriet receives in 2001 Nadia & Lili Boulanger Prize at Beaux-Arts Academy for her chamber opera ‘Nouvelles Histoires d’Elle’.
Discovered by Pascale Ferran, she composes soundtrack of ‘Petits arrangements avec les morts’ in 1993, ‘L’Âge des possibles‘ in 1994, ‘Lady Chatterley‘ in 2006 (awarded of FIPA d’or for Best Original Soundtrack) and ‘Bird People‘ in 2014 (interpreted by Laurent Korcia), feature film for which she is nominated at César. She collaborates with many directors, for cinema and TV: Dominique Cabrera (‘Corniche Kennedy’, ‘Le lait de la tendresse humaine’, ‘Nadia et les hippopotames’, ‘L’autre côté de la mer’), Jacques Deschamps, Radu Miailheanu, Joël Farges, Marc Esposito (‘Le cœur des hommes 1 & 2’, ‘Toute la beauté du monde’), Pierre Javaux, Xavier Durringer, Eyal Sivan.
In 2017, Béatrice collaborates with Anup Singh for the second time with ‘The Songs of Scorpions‘, presented in the BFI London and Locarno festivals. She also composes for Jérôme Diamant-Berger with ‘Tuschinsky Dreams‘, presented in Bologne Festival and Amiens Festival.
In 2008, Béatrice is elevated to Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres.
