Following his studies in England, Jeff Desom (1984) worked in the UK, Germany, his native Luxembourg, as well as Los Angeles while showing at festivals worldwide.

His first no-budget short film (The Plot Spoiler, 2006), completed before attending film school, was voted Best Short Film at the Luxembourg Film Awards in 2007. Desom established a lasting collaboration with the experimental pianist Hauschka, which has resulted in four music videos and a filmic live performance (Ghost Piano, 2010).

Produced by Roman Coppola’s The Directors Bureau, Jeff co-directed the music video (Tears, 2012) for the noise rock band Health. In 2012, he earned a Vimeo Award and the renowned Golden Nica at the Prix Ars Electronica for his reworking of Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window. Most recently, his nationally broadcast Rosport commercial The Legend won gold prize in five categories at the 2016 Luxembourg Media Awards. Jeff is currently developing his debut feature film Dead Noon, scheduled to be shot in 2018.
